What is Tracing Error?

Tracing Error is a zine about music and sound. The music part includes rock, indie, punk, garage, noise, bebop, new thing, and modern free jazz, and a smattering of other genres. The sound part is about how we reproduce music.

What does Tracing Error like?

Tracing Error likes too much music to list meaningfully. Tracing Error enjoys equipment made (some of it a long time ago) by Linn, Rega, Wright Sound, Naim, Snell, Spendor, Dynaco, VPI, McIntosh, SME, Neuance, Quadraspire, Rotel, NYAL, and NAD, Neat, and Bowers and Wilkins, Denon, Sony, Philips, and some designs of Bottlehead and Bob Crump.

What does Tracing Error look like?

Tracing Error is 72 digest-sized pages (5.5" x 8.5") photocopied in b&w and stapled.

Who are we?

We are two grad students in our thirties who like good music and good sound.

When's the next issue?

We don't have a publication schedule but we're hoping to have a second issue in the early part of 2004.

What can I order?

We are only taking orders for the first issue.
